noob computer problem

Guys I installed this game but it didn't run. After a while I figured I should upgrade my graphics driver, but to do that I'd have to know what kind I have. Is there anyway I could figure out what kind of graphics driver i have?

Edit: I also need to know how to find information on my graphic card, (are graphic cards and grafic drivers the same?)

Also when i tried to download directx 9 it gave me this error message:

A cabinent file necessary for instalation cannot be trusted

anyone know how to get around that? thanks in advanced guys

thanks that helped... but I really need to know why directx wont work. I really need it to work.

A i want to know can you change your graphic driver? i want to play a game that requires a different driver.

No game on the planet requires a specific driver (ok maybe there are some exceptions but they are uber rare and usually quite custom). To be on the safe side just get the latest driver for your videocard (from the chipmaker's website)

signatures on the .CAB files for the DirectX 9.0c Redist. This was done as

part of new security ship requirements for all Microsoft products. Some

users have reported recieving the error "A cabinet file is necessary for

installation and cannot be trusted." when trying to install the end-user

distribution or products that include the redist. In these cases, the

digitial signatures are valid, but the installation still fails.

The most likely cause for this problem is that the Cryptographic services

required to perform the validation have been disabled or corrupted on the

system.

If you have FAT drives, you should start by running scandisk to ensure there

are no corrupt system files.

On Windows XP, there are two KB articles provide detailed instructions on

how to resolve issues with the cryptographic services: KB 813442, 822798

thanks thats exacty what i needed.

edit: actually I just noticed I need the directx problem fixed on windows 2000 not XP. will it still work?

You know the easier way without downloading anything to find out your video card is to goto run and type in "dxdiag" and goto display
