Ok I have an old AMD K6 450+ (im starting small). Ok so its set to run at 450mhz but I have it running at 475mhz 95*5.0 (just alittle overclocked. My problem came when I put the computer together, the AMD k6 chip said 2.4 volts on it so thats what I set the motherboard to. Then I had problems with the system underload running sometimes at 150 degrees F. So I then set the motheroboard voltage back to 2.2volts where it originaly was. BOOM I dropped 10 degrees underload now my system was good. My queston is if I drop the voltage down to 2.0 will that affect the processor in anyway? If I can get it cooler that way I want to clock it up to 550mhz!!! OH WOW THATS ALOT OF POWER!!!
I hope someone understands because my grammer sucks for age 13. Thx

In order for the CPU to run correctly, it needs to have the correct amount of voltage for the clock speeds it's set at. Lowering the voltage below its default value could do as much damage as raising it too high.

If you are still reasonably new to overclocking, you'd do good to have a read of Overclocking 101, if you haven't already.

And by the way, I've seen worse grammar from people three times your age, so don't worry.
