hey everyone im just starting to build a new computer and i am planing on gettin a geforce 7800 video card. i was wondering wat a great motherboard is, my price range is not a piece of shit to about 700$ unless there is somthing amazing thats alil priceyer get bac ot me
thank you

There's no way all that $700 could be for the mobo. But, it seems like it would be more for the whole computer if he's going with a 7800.

wouldnt it be great if $700 was for the mobo alone!!!
but if thats the case then he's gonna have a great pc

between $100 to about $400
there are very expensive ones out there that cost over $700...but the most basic featre filled ones are around $200

each of these would be for different purposes and would support 7800 and gives great room for upgrade in the future...
if it all comes down to it i would say go with the MSI...ie...between these three...the call is yours mang...

Sure it can .... but it better be a 4-way box with PCI-X2 and onboard SCSI320 controllers ;)

im so confused how much r motherboards
Generally, much less.

Since yer getting a 7800 class card ... i'm gonna assume you're looking for a hardcore gaming machine .. in that case that would imply an AMD box and as such, two board stick out for me
- MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum or MSI K8N Neo4 SLI
- DFI LanParty4 or DFI LanParty4 SLI
With the difference being the SLI boards are superior in that they allow for multiple (i.e., 2) video cards working concurrently to process a 3D scene
