Ok so I went out and carefully check all the stuff I was buying to make sure it was compatible and such. The good news is for me that everything is in fact compatible, but, I failed to check to see if my motherboard had a vga jack :D I have a video card with two dvi jacks and an s-video jack but can't figure out how to install the drivers with no frickin monitor! Help!?!

you need to buy a dvi - vga adapter

something like this http://www.nextag.co.uk/norob/Ptitl...3zgRZb9QdmERhnMbYNIr/n/crtRVu&ptitle=81862707

unless your motherboard has onboard graphics?

post your motherboards make and model number!

I guess the make and model of the motherboard woulda been helpful. its a ECS NFORCE 9M-A http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Pr...ailID=887&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=1&LanID=9 But the problem I am runnin' into is how to install the graphics card drivers when I can't see the setup screen?

because if you had the dvi to vga adapter you could plug your monitor in and it would work without the drivers-!!

once you installed the graphic drivers then your display would adjust to optimal settings

your borad does not have onboard graphics so you are stuck until you either buy a monitor with dvi or you pay a few £'s or $'s for a adapter, i had to do the same

if you're talking about windows setup. you don't need drivers. you should at least have a picture. if you don't get any picture at all you've done something wrong :P

he wont get a picture cos his card needs dvi cable and his monitor only has vga..... monitor wont fit card

Yes awhile ago when i got a 8500GT(Dont laugh i was on tight budget Getting new rig soon) it came with DVI to VGA
