Noob needs second opinion!

I'm new here but need some help. I took the engineering program at my highschool, where we used Solidworks. I recently found out that we may be able to get the student version of the program for free to use at home, so I was looking into building a computer to run this and the free student version of auto cad. I asked this question on another forum, and we came up with a build, but as I have little knowledge of what works good with these programs, I was looking for a second opinion. My budget is between $400-$600, as I would like to build a good computer that can be upgraded as my skills or needs progress.

For AutoCAD an nVidia dedicated gpu would be better.

Do you have anything from a doner pc?

Does your high school have a way for students to get a discount on Windows 7.?

As far as the rest,
No to the ps. There's better for the same or less.
That hdd is 2.5". You can run that, but 1TB 3.5" is 10 more.
With a small budget, drop the cpu cooler and get one later. With rebate $ perhaps.

Okay, thanks. I'm not sure if I could get a discount, I think the engineering teacher just knows a guy who can get the program, so I am not sure if I would be able to get a discounted OS (we run XP Pro at school anyways) But with the video/graphics stuff, I was kind of hoping that I could use the integrated graphics, and then as my needs increased, I could upgrade to a dedicated video card. And which HDD was that, I mainly chose some of those parts because of reviews, so I wasn't too sure about the value. Unfortunately, I don't have any donor pc's, only a 10 year old dell. Is there a power supply that you could recommend? again, I mainly just looked at the reviews and didn't look into any better deals. Thanks, and any more help would be appreciated.

With a $50 case, $609 + shipping on the hdd(if there is any). Under 600 if you can count the rebates.
The promo you can't see is $20 off the OS from Newegg email eblast/sign up to get.
The ps is a good unit and enough amps for upgrades. That price ends in a couple days + has rebate.
Most all other promos end on the 23rd and 1 on the 24th.
Newegg puts out a new eblast on Mondays.
Might find something better elsewhere. Other than hdd it's the only place I looked. Usually they are hard to beat.
Intel is an option as well. Just change the cpu/mb/, and could get 1600 memory.
