noob needs some help

Im trying to up grade but dont really no what to do. I have a Gateway Box deal from best buy. I play some games and would really like to max out my computers potential. Also is there a way to listen to the music playing on my computer through my home stereo? Im not sure what alot of the numbers on my case mean so I will give them all to you, Im sure alot of the info will be irelivant. Any suggestions or info on what I have will be greatly appreciated.

You just need to upgrade your graphics card, what's your budget?

Everything else is fine, good CPU, decent amount of RAM only the video card is holding you down.
 
It's the integrated video that's really holding back your gaming. A decent video card would be a great start. What's your budget for the upgrade? A 7600GT might be a good choice.

Hook up the Line Out/Speaker port on your sound card to an input port on your home stereo.

no real budget. I dont want to spend 500.00 but i would drop a couple 200. or 300.00 to make it really nice.
My buddy picked up a GeForce 7300GS I think its made by nvidia. It says its a 256mb but supports some turbo cache that makes it a 512mb on a 1 GB system.
He payed 100.00 for it. Is this what i need, or is it junk.
I dont understand all this Cache stuff.

Your first mistake was buying a Gateway (to hell). j/k

Definitely buy a PCI-Express video card... the ones they mentioned are great. You want one that's got at least 256MB of RAM.

Buy another GB of RAM, too... if you have the money. The amount you have is sufficient, but depending on the type of games you play and work you do... more RAM is always a good thing.
