At work I've been using a crappy CRT. They recently bought us some widescreen Viewsonics. Now I want to get 1440 X 900 and I can't. I can only do 1280 X 768. What do I need to do?

yeah i have a 19" viewsonic and i can only go up to 1280x1024. no matter what.

yeah but his is widescreen, is yours?

I suggest getting a video card that offers support for that resolution, your onboard is probably too old to do you any good.

mine isnt. but what i mean is that thats my max res and a gfx card wont improve
it. i suppose its different for him cos his monitor would be better then mine.
