Ok I am trying to make a compilation of songs on a CD so i can listen to it on my stereo or in my car other than just on my computer. I tried using iTunes to make a playlist and then hit Burn CD. The stereo and car wont recognize it as a disk. So i made an audio disk with DeepBurner. Still didn't work. My question is what file format should I be using?

They are in MP3 and it isn't working

thanks

Are you making an mp3 disc with folders or just a audio cd with mp3 format files.?

If you are doing the first one, you need an mp3 compatible player.

If you are doing the second one, your player needs to be compatible with mp3 files.

Some cars radios will not play burnt discs at all--no matter how you made the disc.

Be sure to close the session when you are done! Some players do not read discs if the session has been left open.

My car player will play burned disks, but i'm not sure if they are burned on there in mp3 format or not.

I have a file converter, what kind of file should I make the songs?

.mp3 is fine and since you know your player is compatible you need to do the process again.

Make sure they are in .mp3 format

Make sure you don't exceed the disc capacity, as they need a bit of room to close the disc.

Make sure you close your session when your done.

If that doesnt work--post again and we will find someone else to help you as I use same process for all my discs and I don't have any other ideas off the top of my head..

but yeh..try it again and post back.

I'm pretty sure I did it right though. I ran the program and it finished and the disk popped out automatically.

I have all the files lined up in my file converter is there anything I can try? What are off-the-shelf CDs recorded on? What file type?

Hey, as I said before..I do my stuff the same way and I have no issues but maybe someone here can help you out more.'

I would only be guessing with you now.

sorry man

CD-RWs seem to be a much bigger hassle then their worth imo. They never seem to work right ._. I will NEVER use one for a Physics report again ;_;

i know you fixed it, but for future reference

If your palyer doesn't support mp3 (which, if its old, odds on probably wont) when burning you will have to select the audio cd option not the data disc one, they can only hold about 20 songs tho, thats what they use off the shelves
