noob question

im getting this motherboard for my wife.. can i still use my old Nvidia 8800 gts on amd chipset? im thinking yes but was just double checking before i bought http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128342

why wouldn't it work, make sure u disable the onboard video card or you will have problems.

Yes it'd definitely work, once you already added the video card i think it disables the onboard itself so thats no problem if so do it.
