Is a motherboard with DDR3 memory compatible with a GPU with DDR5?
What about RAM, what happens when it has different memory type with either?

The memory on the video card has nothing to do with the memory on the motherboard. You could have ddr1 on mobo and ddr5 on video or any mix there of.

No you couldn't - My old DDR1 MOBO didn't have any pciex8 or pciex16 Slots on it. But maybe a little solder, wire, and duct tape would do the job :P

It was an example. I was saying that it didn't matter what memory you had where, they run independent of each other.
