Hey, With all the new games coming out I dont know what to do. I am thinking of upgrading my computer with 2 gigs of ram and a new graphics card. The ram I can take care off. But the graphics card is got me confused:eek:. I am just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a fairly cheap card. That will at least be able to run Gears of War when it comes out.

firstly people here will ask for your pc spec and ive got a 7600 gs 512mb and i find it more than adequate so its up to you how much you willing to pay

It seems it allows pci-e, but you might need a new power supply as well as the video card what kind of budget do you have? (max amount of money you can spend ), btw you might want to get some ram as well since it only has 512mb ram and that's pretty low for gaming

You'll want around 2GB of DDR400 memory, and a video card. I'm not so sure about your PSU. Sometimes companies have weird form factor cases and standard PSUs won't fit. Here's my list, though, if a standard one does fit:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211014 - $93 2GB DDR400
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817189005 - $50 XCLIO Goodpower 500w
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102034 - $115 - X1950GT
That gives you a bit to play around with, as that is $258. The main question I have is if it is worth spending $92 on memory when it is DDR instead of DDR2. But you'd need a bit more money to replace your motherboard and processor.

Yeah well I am going to eventually just update it all wiht a new case and stuff I just wanted a new graphics card and some ram to make my games look kind of pretty lol.

Yeah like the name of this thread I am a noob to computers. Um is it hard to hook up a power supply by yourself. I mean if you really have no knowledge.

Also about the graphics card you posted, I saw some Nvidia 8600's for the same price. I am not sure if I was just seeing things so.
