So my AI7 nb fan decided to take a shit on me this morning, my alarm went off and it wont shutup. So i just hooked the rear case fan to the jumper for it and am running it without the fan, not too bad on the heat either.

I go to abit website to get the new fan, but they want 14 bux shipped for this pos that didnt make it over a year. Can anyone tell me where to get a new fan to replace this one, i have been looking everywhere and cant seem to find one.


Ps. i did try lubing it up, but it still spins at a whopping 180 rpms.
 
It probably has dust in it. Cleaning it out will make little difference. You'll be lucky to get a couple of months out of it. $14 is probably your best bet. You won't find an aftermarket one cheaper that I know of.
 
Well i went to radioshack and got some lube..lubed it up and now it seems to be workin but i guess ill have to do somethin soon..maybe more stuff will go wrong so i can get a new compy..thatd be fun.
 
The sleeve bearing is probably worn out, so the lube will only do the trick for so long before it all seeps out and it siezes again. Don't delay, you just bought yourself some time. :)
