Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help.
Yesterday I loaded up a new software programme Norton Internet Security 2006. I bought this package because it was cheaper than the latest 2007 edition. I had problems with installing Norton 2006 as it kept overheating the pc and crashing it. Eventually after trying a few more times the software loaded but crashed the pc again during a scan. Today the pc crashes while I'm on the internet but I put this down to the hot weather even though fans are running. Sometimes Norton can't remember doing a system scan but after I restarted the pc Norton finally recalls doing a scan and says the result was "good". I had the pc off for a while then after switching it on an error pop-up saying a certain file couldn't be found (I don't know what it was). Also the mouse cursor moves slowly and it seems these problems have only occured since loading up Norton 2006. I use windows xp on a laptop.
What can I do? shall I uninstall Norton 2006? to me it appears as if the software has made the pc tired.
I was wondering if anyone can help.
