Norton is treating a CD as a virus

I have an instructional interactive CD that Norton is calling “Backdoor.Pcclient.B is dropped by Trojan.Mdropper.K”, and is placing it into quarantine whenever I attempt to access the CD, and therefore won’t allow me utilize the CD. The CD distributor said there is a copy protection on the software, if that helps. Also, my CD tray won’t allow me to take out the CD.

So, how do I tell my Norton software that the CD is not bad so that I can use it?

The publisher of the instructional CD received the same complaint a few times this week. Perhaps it has to do with a recent update.

I have the 2005 Internet Security AntiSpyware Edition. I did some searching on Norton's website to find a solution, but wasn't successful.

I was disconnected twice with Norton's online help chat after I typed my question, and I emailed their technical support but I didn't get a confirmation that it was sent. Nice, huh?

I personally hate norton. Ive used them for a couple years and they eat up resources (espessially system works) and they usually are too strict about certain things like that and wont let you override some decisions the software makes.
