I installed AVG instead of renewing my Norton subscription and I'm glad I did. AVG uses less system resources and provides the same, if not better, protection.

i used Norton before. And i hated it. Maybe becasue the emachines it was on really was dragging.

Then i used AVg for a good 2-3 years. Then last week i went to Fry's and i picked up ESET NOD32. Which is the sickest :D

I used AVG 7.0, switched to Avast, and to be honest I kinda liked Avast but in the free version they give a fairly annoying and limited user interface. I updated to AVG 8.0 and it is really nice, clean interface and everything.

AVG gets my vote. :D
Norton is to much of a system hog.
Also Norton doesn't work very well, i scanned a friends system which had Norton with AVG free 8.0 and it found well over 700 problems.

What silly person voted for Norton?

Maybe they like Norton more then AVG, we don't need to attack them for it.

But not only does Norton hog your hardware, it's annoying as f**k, I mean, every time it does something it tells you, and expects a cookie.

nortan is a system hog-had bad experience with it...

fixed too many computers with nortan on......

would rather use windows firewall and everything else free than use nortan lol
