norton & panda

hi, ive been looking at internet security software (antivirus, firewall, etc) software by both norton and panda and i was wondering if i could get some opinions on both. has anyone used one of them and had no problems? has anyone had bad experiences with either? has anyone got experience with using both and got any preferences? any opinions on how well they work or anything would be greatly appreciated

Norton is evil, never use Norton. I'm not too familiar with Panda but here is what i recommend.

Anti-virus - AVG Free
Firewall - Zonealarm
Anti-Spyware - Spybot S&D or Ad-Aware

It uses alot of system resources and memory. It slows down the computer BIG TIME.

Ive read some articles about it and it has been proven that it qualifies as a virus.

over norton and panda, i'd go panda but they both are resource hungry,i've used panda and i have to say virus detection is 100% good but that resource....hmmmm....

yeah, norton is garbage, panda is better...

but recommend:

avgfree
zone-alarm (unless you have a router with a hardware, which will essentially provide a hardware firewall)
spybot
ad-aware
a-squared
regcleaner
