Which one of the following will be the best for security use:

- Trend Micro Internet Security 2007
- Norton Internet Security 2007
- Norton 360
- McAfee Internet Security 2007

My expection will mostly like be smooth running and reliable protection but not to the extent of intrusive protective :P :P

Thanks

none of them is worth it, but if these are what you want, then my suggestion is Trend Micro.
Norton just is too resource hungry and the programming is worthless.
Don't even get me started on Mcafee.....

If I had to choose I'd probably take Trend Micro, but honestly I think you'd be better off with a free one like Avast! AntiVir or AVG, just my opinion though.

I've recommended antivir to a bunch of people and usually they say that they found several virus' that Norton didn't catch, let alone the speed that antivir adds to the PC it is installed on.

From those security suites I would recommend Trend first, then Norton. Norton uses a lot of resources but is very secure. Pro's and Con's depends on how you look at it. McAfee sucks. McAfee has better odds to give you viruses/malware than not having any protection at all. McAfee is the WORST antivirus/spyware program ever made.

Just use Avast free for antivirus...Or you can get Avast pro like what i have and it hasnt let me down.

as for firewall....Try commodo firewall or Zonealarm firewall.
both of those are free and very good imo. :)

Avast free is one of the best free anti-virus programs. The best anti virus program is BitDefender. Virus Bulletin rated BitDefender a VB100%
Check out my website for a review
(The VB 100% logo is awarded to anti–virus products that detect all current “in the wild” viruses during both on–demand and on–access scanning in Virus Bulletin’s comparative tests.)

I have been using Free Edition AVG AntiVirus for the past 5 years and is runs well and most important is free and always have new update. As for Symantec need to pay every year. So my choice is still AVG
