Norton vs zone alarm

I have the option of the Norton package you get with bt total broadband or getting the free version of zonealarm and a combination with avg (to replace my expiring avast free edition). How do you think of Norton vs zone alarm

How can Avast free edition expire? Do not get Norton, either use Avira, Avast, or AVG free versions.

I mean that it will get down graded to a free version. One thing I don't get with Avast is how to run a virus scan, doesn't seem to be a explicit command in the program

I think your serial key expires or sometihng. When you install Avira or AVG and you click "generate random serial key" it actually tells you that it expires in a year or two.

Avast SUCKS!!
i used to have it on my computer, it was too confusing. when it said "virus deleted" and i made a re-scanning, the virus was still there.
plus, you hardly un-install it (whether through "add-remove programs" or "un-install Avast".

running a scan, is there between options. i don't remember where now ...

i used to have Norton, i liked it though it took a lot of my ram (especially when i used to have 256MB Ram in my old computer lol)

I haven't tried Zone Alarm, but a friend of mine has the "Zone alarm Internet Security" package and he says this is the best antivirus.
i trust him.
so i would recommend Zone alarm, (though in free version)
