I have had my e machine P.C. for a few months and there are some issues I haven't been able to resolve. I have tried to restore to an earlier date to try to remedy the problems but they seem to presist.

I have Spy Sweeper installed and recently I keep getting a pop up saying I have 84 new spy sweeper alerts to review (alerts are in blue) when I click on "alerts" it takes me to the alerts page and when I try to click on the alerts to remove them, after a few seconds it eraces all of my check marks and doesn't store the ones I checked. I have to shut down Spy sweeper in order to get the pop up to stop and I feel vulnerable doing this. . . please advise.

I also get an error message during strat up that says " Norton Antivirus does not support the repair feature, please uninstall and reinstall" when I click OK to remove it , it keeps popping up several times. I don't know what feature it is talking about and it returns several times, there are times when I have to drag it to the bottom of the screen in order to hide it. Please advise. . .

your norton is probably expired. uninstall it and look for something else. there are many free ones.. to name a few.. kaspersky, nod32, avg, etc..
do you have 2003? or later versions? norton has a tendacy to dont want to remove itself from your computer. so if you have 2003 or later, try this.. its their own personal removal tool..read their instructions tho to make sure you have the right norton:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2001092114452606

with spyseeper, there should be the "delete, keep, select all, and deselect all" buttons... try first selecting the one you want to keep and press keep first, then the rest, delete.

norton's goin downhil fast. i recommend AVG its free and very good. also spybot search and destroy. but i would get rid of norton. especially if you have to pay for it.

Norton, AFAIK doesnt expire per se, the subscription service expires -- you can still do manual updates (not to mention manual updates come out far more often than automatic updates anyways)

norton's goin downhil fast.
And why might you say that?
