Not Able To Burn CD's

I have a DVD-RW drive and im trying to make audio CD's. So i bought two different types of blank CD's. I bought CD-R and CD-RW and they both dont work. Then I put in a blank DVD+RW disc and it detected it. Does that mean im not able to make audio CD's? Cuase i want to put my music that I downloaded from iTunes on discs. How am I able to do this? Can you please help me. Thank You.

what burner do you have(make/model) is it new?

what make of disks did you buy?

If you've installed or updated any other media players since you installed iTunes, the drivers for burning CDs and DVDs from iTunes will be missing. Another possibility is you need to download a driver for your DVD drive. Try updating the firmware for your DVD drive and reinstalling iTunes. If you can't find the drivers and firmware for your DVD drive, almost anyone here can help you find them.

i don't use itunes but.... isn't that protected content which would prevent you from copying them to disk?

Welcome to the world of digital rights management. If nothing else has worked it's the copyright protection scripts that are stopping you from burning your cds
