well my computer was on standby and i activated it and everything. I was surfing the web for about 10min when it froze. I manually turned it off and ****, all the lights come on for everything except the damn screen. the screen is black and wont go to its normal black screen before booting up. I am pretty pissed. Can anyone help me? Please?
 
Have you heard anything but the single default beep when first booting the system there? A single long beep foloowed by twp or more short would point at memory or most likely a failed video card. What make and model board or system if prebuilt are you running there?

for some reason, i was pushing buttons on the black screen and it booted up..i do not get it..i bet by tomorrow this will happen again..wtf is going on!?>!>
 
Could possibly be a loose connection cable from the motherboard to the screen. Only way you could check is by opening the laptop which I don't suggest unless you know what you're doing. Best bet would be to just open and close it a few times, see if it wiggles back into place if that is indeed the issue.
 
Simple reccomendation would be to just not let it go to sleep just turn on the screensaver if that only happens when its asleep and wakes up.
 
In the power options you can also set everything to "never" at least until the problem is repaired. This will keep everything active while the power is on. The other suggestions are things to look at as well. But portables are tightly fitted hardwares and connections into a small space. Following the suggestion Lax made above to get it looked at under warranty if you have one or simply gone through in a repair shop would be best move.
