Not at all sure where my problem is. So I posted here. I have an older computer. Trying to fix it for a friend. It uses dial up to connect. It will dial out and it will also connect. However it will not display any webpages at all. I have put a new modem in it. Checked for virus's. Tried every pci slot on the board. Called isp and had them confirm my dial up config was correct.
Everything else is working fine. I just can't get it to show any webpages. Any suggestions ?

get on another computer and download Mozilla, get it to the older compy and see if mozilla will work. if it doesnt then it eliminates the IE's problem... check Network connections and see if its disabled or somehting

Try disabling all your anti-virus' and your firewall. Your firewall may be restricting access or you may have conflicts between AV to AV or firewall.
