Not enough space on disk!?

Hey guys I am trying to copy an .avi file to dvd. Now I have done this hundreds of times but on this particular file I am getting this error:

The disk's I am using are 4.7 gigs and the .avi file (Before converting to dvd) is 696 mb, a regular size for a .avi movie. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so, how you fixed it.

Sounds to me like your bitrate for the DVd is set too high. Is this video longer than usual? I'm assuming you are trying to make a playable DVD out of this .AVI
