narafa New Member Apr 27, 2005 #3 For sure it needs a codec. There is no best player man, there is just stable players, Windows Media Player is not bad although it's not the greatest. What is the video file extension? I mean is it an avi, asf wmv or what exactly??

Lax VIP Member Apr 27, 2005 #4 Media Player classic (not windows), plays most media files and needs no codecs.
