Not responding on mouse click

Hello, I have a question about my games in windowed mode not responding on mouse click.

When ever I play games such as MineCraft or any game that is in windowed mode every time I click the game will say not responding for about one second then will go back to normal, when this is happening the task bar shows the game task moving to the right like im moving it myself. I am on windows 8.1

Can i get some direction on this please?

Have you done any general cleanup on your system such as run ccleaner, run malware scans? How long has it been doing this? Have you tried doing a system restore back to when it was working fine?

What do you mean by "shows the game task moving to the right like I'm moving it myself"?

To me it sounds like when you click on the window it's taking a second to make the game your active window. Does it work okay in fullscreen mode? Does it do this for every single click? Maybe you have something that's constantly pulling focus off the game window.

I have ran ccleaner and malware scans and nothing has been detected and its been doing it for about 2 or 3 months now. The game will work fine when in windowed mode.

Also Darren what i mean by that is the task will move every time i click when im playing a game in windowed mode.

Do you have any other windows open when playing? I currently have the issue where if I have more than 1 window or program open then every once in a while a window/program will steal focus from something I'm currently viewing and I can't seem to figure it out. Might be your case here. I've tried reinstalling windows and it still does it. So its either a hardware or software issue for me. I need to test my ram for errors or possibly its a program thats running at bootup that is causing this.
