Not sure what to do about my HD????

I was hoping someone could drop the knowledge on me. I put a SATA HD in my computer. My device manager is identifying it...but when I go to look under my computer...NOTHING....so basically I can't get to it....any thoughts????? Do I need to designate it as a slave like the IDE HDs...any help would be great..thanks for listening. CHEERS!!!!

Does it appear under disk management???

If so, reformat it.

This might be a silly question...but....disk management is under the control panel???? I'm running vista.

Right click Computer in the Start menu-pick manage-then click disk management- then right click on the new drive at the bottom- partition and format.

...sometimes I can't believe I actually built a computer....I had a brain fart...yes...I figured it out. Thanks for your help
