So I am thinking about getting the snes classic, and I want to connect it to my desktop. However my computer doesnt seem to have an hdmi hole. I have a monitor that connects to it with vga cord. The snes classic uses an hdmi cable. What equipment do I need connect the snes classic to my computer? I think my computer also has a db9 port and has usb ports Edit: I dont want to have to constantly unplug my monitor and plug in the snes classic, and vice versa, just to lyk

You won't be able to connect it to your computer. Any connection on your pc is for output only not input. You would have to get a video input card. But it doesn't make sense to hook up to pc when all you want to do is hook up to a monitor correct?

Just get a cheap HDMI switcher.

Computer -> Switcher -> Monitor
SNES -> Switcher -> Monitor

Then you can just press a button and use the monitor for either.
