Note book not turnin on...

I recently bought a new laptop for my mum and its been less than 2 month and its not working.... I have no idea why because it wont even turn on... I have tried taking battery out holding power button for 30 sec and directly plugging in charger without battery but still had no lucky.. When i plug the charger in the charging led wont even turn on and wiggling charger around doesnt work... She told me she dropped the laptop previous day but she said it worked again when she booted up right after dropping it.... So my guess is she somehow dropped laptop in some way and the charging socket got damaged completely so it wont start up at all...
Is only way of fixing it taking it to a professional service repairer? or can i try to fix this myself

any further suggestion to why its not starting up at all? and is there a way to clear cmos in laptop?

If it was plugged in at time of dropping most likely the charging port is broke and needs to be replaced.
 
Not unless you knowledge of tearing apart a laptop and have the proper soldering iron and solder to replace it. Most places should be able to replace it under $100
 
Is it still under warranty? If it is, it would be best if you consult the techs of the product before going for an outside repair.
