Nsa locked my laptop? What the hell Is this real? Or a virus

My laptop was just locked and it said I have 72 hours to pay a fine of 300 dollars using money pak? That does not sound government official to me any help or knowledge would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to be arrested or a criminal if it is real

The NSA does not lock laptop and fine people, they are tracking terrorist in a fashion that I consider morally wrong.

You have a virus, run a scan with an AV and Malwarebytes.

Boot to safe mode with networking and see if you still get the lock screen. If not then download and run the programs listed in this thread and post your logs back here.

Yes, its a scam but its still malware and needs to be removed. But since this thread is over a month old, most likely the poster won't return.

sounds like this, if they did get it, they are SOL if they dont have a backup.
