NTFS to FAT32

Yes. It's me again I know, i know - i'm truble making guy ;D So - here is my (what a surprise XD ) next problem:

A long, loooong time ago - i've formated my D: partition in NTFS. Now i want to go back to a FAT32 BUT - i don't have this option. So my question is - how can i go back to FAT32? Thanks for any answers. God Bless You ;D

Everything's fine - but when i choose "format" ot whatever - i don't have option "FAT32" - only NTFS...

Windows XP - Proffesional Edition with service pack 1.

the best system file for windows xp is NTFS. you must not use fat32.
NTFS is the recommended for xp os.
would you like to write a reason why you want FAT32

some os can't read ntfs thats why when you buy flash drives they are formatted in fat32.

my D is fat32 also, but windows is on C. isn't that alright? how do you convert from fat32 to ntfs anyway?

open a command prompt

convert d: /fs:ntfs

you have to get rid of the ntfs partition and create a fat32 partition instead. formatting just erases what's on that particular partition. it won't change the type of partition that it is.

With Partition Magic you can convert the file system back to Fat 32 without any formatting or loss of data.
