ive had ntl for 5 yrs now and had no problems. but now i got a laptop i want to go wireless just on the laptop
i went and bought a ntl compatible router (edimax br-6204wg) set all up according to the manual

now on my laptop its saying i have an excellent connection with super strength but when i open internet explorer it says the page cannot be displayed all the time
when i change the mac address to clone mac address it runs of the computer mac address and opens 2 or 3 pages (google) etc but if i move the laptop to another room i get page cannot be displayed again
any ideas

i have never heard of Edimax.. lol

but, is your router blocking your MAC address, what sort of wireless security are you using? if any...

are you running anything else wirelessly in your house? i dont know if this could by right, but you could be losing a lot of packets.

oh and whats an "NTL compatible router"? i just went out and bought one... as far as i know they all work :D
