NTLDR is missing! I NEED HELP!

I dont see "press any key to boot from cd..." i just goes straight to the error screen :confused:

that's weird !
are you sure this is the right CD ?
and are you sure you set the first boot to CD-Drive !

Yes i tried the cd, on my laptop and it pop ups windows xp installation.

Boot device priority

ATAPI CD-ROM
+Removable Devices
+Hard Drive
Network Boot

Thats how i set up my bios...

so?:confused:

then it's the CD drive ! i guess
try to plug in another CD drive !
that's all i can think of at the moment !

ok playkid you have to have done something wrong in the process, what you are trying to achieve at this point it for the computer to boot from the cd, and never even look at the hard drive. In fact take the hard drive out of the machine completely! and it should still boot from the cd just fine

oh by the way i am using a copied version of the cd..will that affect?

1. boot from cd and install xp.
or
2. boot with win98 startupdisk, make partitions 2 of them. make 2nd one fat32 and copy content of cd there and run the winnt.exe from within that partitions i386 folder, is faster than installing from cd and u dont need the 6 disks if ur cd is not bootable.
