when I go to boot my computer i get the ntldr is missing and it wont let me boot up. It is a windows xp machine and there is nothing plugged into it that it could be attempting to boot from. I disabled all boot devices except for the hard drive. This was just a random thing. it has worked just fine up until recently when i cant boot anymore. What should i do?

so i have tried all of the sites and help pages on here and from googling and it still is not working, can i do a reinstall of windows over the existing partition? will all my data be lost? Or am i better off dumping all my info to an external and just wiping the drive?

I tried that, when i got to the screen to hit repair it didnt give me that option all i got was set up new xp, create new partition or delete the partition.
