Num Lock

everytime i shutdown my desktop pc, the "num lock" led above the number keys lights up and stays... when i boot up.. everything is normal.. turns on n off... i tried turning it off when i shut down.. but it turned on again.. any ideas?
 
not sure i understand are you saying that the led stays on when you shutdown, even after the fans have powered down?????
 
there is a setting in most bios to set wiether you want numlock to start on or off on startup. not that that would keep the light on but if you might try that? it sounds like your keyboard is wired wrong or something.

i dont even see how that can be, its not like the keyboard draws power from the bus or anything. Didn't think it would have power after shutdown. Its not a wireless keyboard is it?
 
Mine does that too, Never worried about it though, all three of my lights stay and come on after sutdown, Scrool lock, caps lock, and num lock.
 
nopes.. its not wireless.. its not usb.. i checked bios.. turn num lock on/off upon startup.. doesn't seem to work either..
 
funny.. but i like it clean.. well i mean i dont mind.. not a biggie or anything.. but i thought someone out of the thousands of people here might know and might be able to help me..
