my dell laptop keeps playing up. During typing it would show the number 1 at random within the text im typing. At first I thought the number 1 key was stuck, but that doesnt seem to be it. And it doesnt happen all the time. Some days nothing happens like now, other days it would appear again. Can someone tell me what I can do about it?

Did you install anything around the time that this started happening?

Maybe the key is loose not stuck and when you type hard on the keyboard it makes the 1 key jump and cause the typo... I think you will have to get in touch with Dell and get a new keyboard. This can happen with a machine that you have had for a while... Or gets a lot of use!
