Number keys not working besides 5 and 6. Help.

In a nutshell, the number keys above my letters are not working. 5 and 6 still work but nothing else. F5 doesn't work either. Neither do the parentheses. My numpad still works.

Did a quick Google search and it seems like people have had this problem before. Couldn't find a solution though.

Anyone know what might be going on? I'm on a MSI GX640 that's running Windows 7.

The keyboard might not be plugged in all the way. Had a similar problem with a laptop display that wasn't plugged in correctly. Sometimes it would flicker or just turn off.

Bump. I currently don't have the tools to take apart my computer. I'm on a fairly remote island for the time being. Could it be anything else?

Most likely you just need a new keyboard. Have you tried dusting it out? Check to make sure there isn't any crumbs under the keys.
