Nvidia 6600 256mb

I have an 6600 graphics card and wanting to upgrade it. I have a Gigabyte motherboard so have a programnme called easy tune and was wondering what what the limit i would be able to over clock this without any additonal cooling apart from the stock HSF.
Also anyone know where i can get a cover fan (sometimes called a VGA silencer) for this card as seem to find loads for othr models but not the 6600 and do they make much difference for overclocking?

As for overclocking no one can really tell you what your limit would be as it's different in every case. I would suggest when overclocking that you step it up slowly and check temps and stress test.

I'm not sure if this is what you are referring too http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Arctic_Cooling.html but they have the VGA Silencer for the 6800 series. I'm not suggesting that you buy from these people either, shop around. Use google and check local shops as they can sometimes order these things in even though it might not be a product that they stock.

Also you are talking about overclocking your video card right? Consider coolbits http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=815 you'll be able to change the clock frequency in a rather safe manner with this.

Are you kidding? I downclocked my core/mem and it locked out on me :D :P

It isnt. Its just pretty and simple interface

Huh? Coolbits is just a registry fix.....
