Which videocard is the best out these two?
Dammit I should of change the thread to nvidia 7950 vs Ati x1950xtx crossfire since nvidia has 2gpus in 1

If it was crossfire x1950xtx then ati would own the 7950!!Even x1900xtx crossfire owns 7950. when ATi release there dual core gpu whenever that will be times the X1950 by 2 n it will out perform Nvidias current cards and the fact that ATI are now teamed up with AMD and all that malarky its going to be interesting to see who takes the lead in the next generation.

maybe.. but its not like Nvidia doesnt make any new cards or so. im pretty sure they are comming with some nice cards again too ;)

The x1950XTX outperforms in some games, but considering that its only one GPU, means that ATI has a strong GPU. The 7950GX2 is also more expensive, but will generally perform better.

the x1950xtx. it supports avivo video converter which is a plus, has GDDR4 memory which is also a plus, and it'll do both HDR and FSAA for you, which to this date no nvidia gpu supports... plus ATI is working on havok FX which is a driver used to plow through physics with a graphics card. turns out its very effective and its something you'll need for future games... theres no turning down the physics in games like theres a such thing as turning down graphics... especially in multiplayer mode. you cant have two different computers fighting over whether or not an object exists in the 3d environment lol

im not sure if you need your primary graphics card to be an ATI card to use this technology though lol... good for an upgrade and some amazing gaming lol

I thought Nvidia did produce a dual core gpu?isnt the 7950GX2 a dual core gpu,or do they just call it that when its really something else?

Also remember that the 7950GX2 is a dual-gpu card, the x1950XTX is not. It also costs significantly more.

but still the 7900GTX beat it too

and dual GPU or not 79050GX2 is still the best card you can buy

id go with the x1950, and i own a 7900gtx. x1950 is better because games dont use the potential of any of these cards anyways, why not at least enable fsaa and hdr at the same time? i mean x1950 also features ati's avivo video converter... ATI is just ahead of the game currently. only thing nvidia has thats better is SLI and thats gay because it gives less performance than a single video card configuration for how much it costs, and games don't even use the processing power provided with two higher end video cards.
7950 would be a waste of your money.
