So I installed the new beta drivers to see if it will solve my screen tearing issue. It didn't, so I'm still investigating that. But I ran a run of unigene heaven before and after the 304.xx drivers. Here are the results.

301.42 drivers:

Average FPS: 96.7
score: 2437
Minimum FPS: 38.6
Maximum FPS: 159.5

Did a uninstall and installed the new beta drivers while never shutting off, only restarting. Ran the test again and got:

304.79 Beta Drivers:

Average FPS: 107.4
score: 2706
Minimum FPS: 39.9
Maximum FPS: 192.6

So that's more than 10 FPS increase average FPS over the older drivers, and more than 30 FPS for max. Excited to see a stable release.

hmm... Me wonders if increasing the FPS in benchmark might also mean more folding in shorter time? Ill try it out on the 480 tomorrow when I get home and see if it will perform any better than it does now. Will post BF3 results too.

I'll finally get to update my driver to a new one (Currently on a 277 release) after I get my new RAM :D

claptonman, im surprised nobody has suggested this to you, but if youare trying to solve your screen tearing, turn v sync on, in the game options, or in the nvidia control panel. that should solve the tearing

I just checked. it looks like the 301.xx have a decent boost for some games and the beta drivers don't mention much about it. I'll give 301.xx a try.

Have tried it. In games, there's no screen tearing, but youtube and videos, there are.
Does anyone know if it will increase performance with 5 series as well?

Most likely. Probably best to wait for the official drivers, but I'm just saying what the results of the beta ones were.
