Ok, So ive been looking around Google trying to find some updates on when nVidia are going to release a DirectX 11 GPU and i remember reading that there planning on releasing one next year!? What is this a joke? Can anyone back any information they've heard or read?

Well in all fairness there really isn't a rush, Windows 7 isn't even out yet and there are no DX11 games. I'm not sure on a release date though.

Arr there is actually 2 games out which support DirectX 11 ;) (Which i see no point yet?) But true when is the Win7 release date anyway? Isnt it in October?

You will not see anything from Nvidia until the new year (so yes technically next year). There is lots of bad rumors about Nvidia floating around. Here are a few Nvidia Halts Chipsets ( this is true) and take this one with a grain of salt Nvidia Exiting High End GPU market. I've also heard the first round of new GPU's from them wont even be DX11 capable. Only time will tell.

Edit: I also forgot to add that the Fermi card Nvidia showed at it's conference was proven to be a fake and they formally apologized and said basically yes the card was fake but we really do have one, we just don't want to show you yet.

Larrabee will be an actual graphics card.

The thing with the chipsets is that supposedly the whole time Core 2 was out they never had the proper licensing to create chipsets for it. Sli will still live as intel with the x58 has the licensing for it.

Also just to note that Nvidia used to swear Sli was hardware limited but just recently people have found a crack to Sli on x38 and x48 boards proving they were full of it on that as well. Anything so that you buy their product. They also just disabled in there drivers the ability to use there cards with an Ati card in Win 7 for Physx. Imo they are too greedy of a company.

YAY i made the right choice then with my GPU :)

nVidia is just getting too greedy. a bit like microsoft you could say. instead of fixing what they already made they pump out a shittier version and swear on their life that it the 2nd coming of jesus.

So if the stories are true, then are their cards not going to be made anymore? If so, then are the prices going to drop too? I'd like to get my hands on a GTX 260 or 275.
