Nvidia driver problem

Hello,
I have a big problem with my Nvidia GeForce graphic driver. It all started after full HDD format and installation of Windows 8.1 on my Asus laptop (with integrated and nvidia card). Driver seemed to work fine but i couldn't open Nvidia Control Panel, therefore I was unable to start any application with Nvidia GPU. Then I noticed something else. In Device Manager the card was shut down because of Code43 error. I've tried everything I could find online to fix it:
-Reinstallation
-Older Driver Installation
-Installation via GeForce Experience
-Uninstalling from device manager
-Display Driver Uninstaller and then clean installation
-Some it-shamanism I've found
-Finally upgrade to Windows 10
-Then again all the steps
And yet nothing has worked. It goes on for so long that I'm beginning to be desperate to find solution. It keeps me from gaming and working with programs such as Inventor.
If anyone knows how to deal with this problem, please help me.

I've downloaded this version a couple of times already. Whats the point here?
Edit: Checked. Doesn't work. As expected.

Just making sure you downloaded the correct driver and software. You would be surprised how many people don't. What about trying older versions of the driver and software? It's either that or an issue with the card.

I've already tried 3 or 4 older versions:
-The oldest on NVIDIA archives
-The one that was said to fix the problem
-Another random one
-...
The problem stays the same.

So it was working fine on 8.1 before you did the reformat? Were you running the latest version before the format? Did you install the chipset drivers for the machine? What about any other important drivers?

1. Before format on 8.1 everything was working fine. I didn't update manually for a long time so i can't tell which version was it. I didn't even bother dealing with my Graphic driver because I've had the most important option in app menu "Launch with GPU..." and access to the Control Panel. Now I have neither.
2. I suppose I did install chipset drivers. You mean CPU chipset? I'll check it.
3. Any other drivers... I downloaded everything from Asus support site and then from producent site if needed. I'll check it though.

I had this exact problem with my friend's laptop and I fixed it in a weird way. He has a GT 740M in it.

Uninstall any and all drivers you have relating to Nvidia, you can use DDU for this. Once they're uninstalled. Shut down the laptop completely and pull out the battery. Leave it out for preferably 5-10 minutes. I'd do 10. I'm not entirely sure why, but this is the key to fixing this issue. I stumbled on it as a suggestion and it worked.

Put the battery back in and reboot. Don't install the drivers immediately but use Windows Update and "Check for Update". It should detect you need a driver for it and install it. It'll probably be out of date. Just let it install. After that you can install the latest driver over it and you should be good to go.

I think there's a driver conflict that results when going from 8.1 to 10 or at least there was in his case. I spent two days trying to track down the issue and had tried nearly everything. I fixed it while he was on Windows 10, I expect you should see similar results in 8.1

Might also be worth resetting BIOS to factory defaults if that doesn't work.

Wow!
Didn't think it would work, but it actually did. I've just checked Asus website in search for additional drivers and I've found new BIOS update:
"BIOS 204
Fix SATA driver detection issue."
Seems like our problem huh? After some scary things with bios and changing boot options I started computer with all NVIDIA card functionality.
Works just fine.
Big shoutout and thanks to johnb35 for an idea.
Problem SOLVED

Edit: Darren. I've tried such IT-shamanism and it didn't work at any time. Last sentence with BIOS though. Thanks for inspiration.

Technically the sata detection issue shouldn't have fixed this issue. Sata detection is for any drives attached to the sata ports.

You accomplished probably the same thing by updating the BIOS as what pulling the battery out for a while would have done.
