NVidia Dual monitor bug?

I just set up dual monitors for the first time and tweaked all my NVIDIA settings. It looks good except for one problem: I have the task bar limited to just one monitor, and when I open applications on that monitor, the title bar (the one with the title and the minimize/maximize and close buttons) goes above the monitor boundary. If I move the app to the second monitor (the one with no task bar) then it displays perfectly.
I have the setting to "Disable windows from opening off screen" checked, what other setting can I tweak to fix this? I've been through them all, and do not see the setting I need.
I have an Gigabyte geforce 6600 gt if that helps.

My problem isn't the taskbar..it's that the windows open above the screen boundary so I can't click the close buttons unless I send it to my second monitor.
Another problem is that once my screensaver comes on, it will "reset" my dual monitors to span mode, so that windows will maximize and cover both monitors instead of just covering one like it's supposed to do (and does do, but only before my screensaver comes on..)

Well, the window thing happens rarely to me. If it does happen, I send the window to another monitor, like you do. This isn't really a solution; but the windows open in the position/mode they were most often closed in (or used in i think), so your problem might happens less and less. However, with The Ultramon program I mentioned earlier, you can set shortcuts (on your desktop) to open windows in any position, or monitor you wish so that would fix your problem.

As for the screensaver thing, whether it covers only one monitor or all monitors depends on the screensavers. Those that support multi-display don't actually change your dual-display to span mode, they are just able to span because they were programed that way, you don't really have a choice (most of the default screensavers are like this), unless you have a screensaver that is programmed to configure for multiple display systems. Screensavers that were designed for only one screen, usually only display on the primary display. That Ultramon program I mentioned earlier can fix all that (you can run: one screen saver, multiple screen savers, one screen saver and disable secondary monitors, or a multi-display capable screensaver and configure them as you see fit).

Ultramon is absolutely a good program to have for Multi-display systems. Have a look it it's features.

If you don't want to spend money on Ultramon, here is an alternative free program from MediaChance. I think it has most of the features you're looking for, but I'm not certain. I don't think it has any Screensaver managment, but it might be able to assign quick button to switch a window from screen to screen for your "hiding" window problem.

I use the free Multimon. Its pretty cool. I like having task bars on both monitors. I would get Ultramon, but one HUGE issue. The main reason I would pay for it is to make it so i can tell shortcuts where to open (like what monitor and whether full screen or not). The huge issue is when I downloaded a trial, this feature failed to work. I set the properties one shortcut and it opened how i wanted it to, then i set properties of a different shortcut to the same program, but on another screen to open on the screen it was on, but it opened where the first one opened. So basically, its then just the exact same program as Multimon (I turn monitors off, so no screensaver needed), but $50 less. Backgrounds are not hard to make work either with Multimon.
