nvidia EVGA 8800gts brightness problem help!

hi i don't know why for some reasons. every high end Nvidia card i use give me very bright screen! i turned everything down to 0 with ntune but still ! everytime i open a webpage or a game. everytime gets very bright. i downloaded powerstrip but it doesn't work ! it is so bright, it hurts my eyes. so help guys? or i will have to switch back to ATI. always, bad experiences with nvidia
 
just bought it for 3 days. ofcourse, i have downloaded the latest one. by the way i have window vista 64bit. it kind of automatically download it for me if i don't download one myself. i tried it. so.. help plz?? i can't really play or even surf web with this horriable brightness
 
Thats realy strange, have you checked your display setting under properties? maybe you can call nvidia's customer service? or evga ect..?
 
i guess i will do that tomrrow. by, the way this happened to me befoer when i was using 7800gts OCed. it was on a different system ( same monitor ). but never have any problem with ati card except they are just slower..

Doh' Yeah it could be the monitor. Don't buy that 2900 until you're sure! Do you have an integrated VGA connection on the back of your motherboard? You could use that to test.
 
actually after switching to my old graphic card 7300LE 128MB problem is a little better. i guess i will try another monitor
