The new G92 will replace 8800GTS in November 12

The G92 will support PCI Express 2.0, HDMI, PureVideo Gen 3 and Display Port, and the chip will adopt a 65nm process

Nvidia is also planing to release G98 to replace the entry-level products in the GeForce 8 series. But the release date of G98 is still unknown.

I read something that intels X38 chipsets will be able to support PCI-e 2. The x38 will replace the 975x chipset while there will be the
g35 will replace the p35.

so how exactly is this supposed to be better than any 8800 card?

256bit memory dosent look promising when the LOWEST 8800 has 320bit. This card seems like it will be a good replacement for those that cant afford the 8800 cards, unless they make these cards in GTX varieties, along with upping the memory interface
