The new G92 will replace 8800GTS in November 12

The G92 will support PCI Express 2.0, HDMI, PureVideo Gen 3 and Display Port, and the chip will adopt a 65nm process

Nvidia is also planing to release G98 to replace the entry-level products in the GeForce 8 series. But the release date of G98 is still unknown.

Will these replace my 8800GTX? PCIe2 is supported but is it backwards compatible with PCIe

GREAT!! JUST GREAT!! 2 days after my trade-up date

Guess I'll be picking up an 8800--- shortly after the release of this card... prices should be slightly lower, eh =)

Here are some updates

G92 will be called GeForce 8700GTS. It will have 256-bit memory bus width, and the memory speed is going to be between 1800Mhz to 2GHz (effective speed). The clock speed is still unknown

so how exactly is this supposed to be better than any 8800 card?

256bit memory dosent look promising when the LOWEST 8800 has 320bit. This card seems like it will be a good replacement for those that cant afford the 8800 cards, unless they make these cards in GTX varieties, along with upping the memory interface
