NVIDIA GeForce G9700M GT?

I'm looking at getting a ASUS laptop that has the NVIDIA GeForce G9700M GT and I was wandering if this card is any good for gaming? Thanks.

I would think it's a good card. My friend has an 8600M GT in his laptop and it performs very well. I'm not sure how laptop graphics compare to desktop graphics but I would assume the 9700M would be a very good card, since the 9600GT is a much better card than the 8600GT. Someone will correct me on this though, haha I'm not too sure abot laptop graphics. Definitely worth looking at that laptop though.

please keep in mind the chipsets in laptops are not the same as desktops, they will probably run games but may have compatability issues and obviously heat issues too.

Well I hope it's good cause I'm looking at getting a ASUS with a 2.0 Ghz dual core, 4 GB memory, the NVIDIA 9700m GT 512 MB and a 250 GB HHD 7200 RPM for 1300$.

What I am asking is how will this graphic card do with gaming? I want to run games like some of the newer fps, rts, mmorpg? Thanks.

They're saying that the graphics card will perform better than the processor and so the processor will slow it down. I don't think so, because I would assume that graphics card is about equal to a desktop 8600GT, which would not be bottle necked by a 2.0GHz core 2 duo.
