nVidia Geforce GTX 580 Issue

I have this 580 card that works properly when it is barebones plugged in. Then once I install the drivers and restart my system, the BIOS works perfectly fine but Windows will not boot. I see the Windows logo and then the screen goes black while the rest of the computer keeps going. I have tried this card in 3 different computers with 2 fresh installs of Windows on each of these computers. I always get the same results. Is the card just trashed or is there something I can do?

Sorry, but it does sound like the card is malfunctioning, did you try different drivers and PSU's?

Usually when a card can't operate with it's own driver but with a generic one then it may be defective

Damn, I figured as much. Just in case this thread comes up in anyone else's searching, I just want to say that using a different graphics card does fix the black screen issue. I guess this card is trash.
