Nvidia Graphics Card Brands

Low Tech

Im currently building myself a computer, and im after an Nvidia 9600GT. In my searches, i see different brands such as MSI, Gigabyte, Galaxy, Palit etc. Im wondering which brands are the most reputable, and which do you feel are the best to choose, or to favour if 2 cards i see have a similar price?

Regards

Gigabyte/Asus/PNY/EVGA/XFX/MSI all make good cards. It really depends on which one you pick, the clocks and price.

Personally I don't trust ASUS anymore after their 8800GT mess....I love EVGA because of their lifetime warranty + if you overclock and fry the card you can RMA it still.

We're forgetting BFG here people! :D

The lengths on the warranties, the look of the card and the price are the most important things IMO, so look for a card that fits your needs for those three things and you'll be good ;)

I really like eVGA. Their customer service is unmatched...the best I have ever seen. I bought an 8800GTX in March and they contacted ME to "step-up" for a 9800GTX. That whole process went smooth...everything about it:)

When I decided to upgrade to a GTX 260, I bought a BFG card directly from BFG Store online. The card I received was dead...would not do anything. They sent me a new one and bam...same thing, dead!

At this point I thought my PSU went out, but everything would run fine with a friends 9800GX2?

I ordered an eVGA GTX 260 Core 216 SE and everything has been great! I just might not ever buy a card from another company...eVGA is #1 in my book.

Ive got the same question, but for ATI cards

Ive got a choice between Gigabyte - ASUS - Sapphire - MSI

Now i know the diference is in the warranties, but i hear better brands (eVGA, Gigabyte) put better quality products on (capacitors etc)

Is it true, and which of those would you buy? Im leaning towards the MSI as I can get the 1GIG for the same price as the equivalent 512 in other makes, and the gigabyte is almost $100 more...
