Just bought and installed the NVIDIA GEFORCE4 MX 4000, which has 128 memory. It doesnt seem as good as the onboard graphics which only has 64 mb of memory. Have I done something wrong? The new card is a PCI, hopefully that isnt the problem. Any advice???
thanks for any replies.......

You can't get anything much better for just $50 that's also PCI. You may find a card in the FX5000 series. I think Newegg has some FX5700's

yeah for 50 dollars your pretty much down the drain I recommend you save up if you plan to game also are you only limited to having a pci slot

Yes I am only capable of the PCI slot. I justed needed something to help watch DVD's and Music Videos. When I go full screen there are absolutely not even close to being clear, the colors look like blocks sometimes. When they are in small view they appear fine. Beginning to think they cannot be made to go full screen.
Thanks..............

NNOOOOO!! You should never recommend the FX series! nVidia should ban the sale of that crap. Id recommend a 9800Pro over any FX card. If your cheap, around $50, id go ATi. And i would stay as far away as possible from the FX series.......

Best buy is still selling the 5200 for around $100!!!!

Hell, pick up a 7300GS or GT like mine for about $50 on newegg and it will outperform any FX.

EDIT: I see your not gaming, if thats the case, then you really dont need anything more then that GF4.
