They can't afford to set prices very high. They were seriously burnt when ATI came out with the 48xx series at 2/3 the price.

I was kidding about the size but I'm surprised if it is the same size as the GTX 285 that means the 5870 is still bigger.

They can't but they probably will. I'll be surprised if they list it for under $650.
 
It might be $800 when it is first released, but two or three years down the road, it will sell for $100 :] And all this technology will become standard in a graphics card. The article says that developers see the need to combine CPU and GPU, and Nvidia is stepping up to the plate to get it done.
