On my new computer, this MediaShield keeps coming up, asking me to optimize the storage config of my new disks. The program identifies my hard drive, and when i click "next" it gives me the option to set up in "striping or spanning" RAID mode, and one of 8k-128k stripe size.
I have no idea what this is, or if I should do anything with it. A friend mentioned something about multiple hard drives are needed to do RAID or something like that, but i don't know if he knew what he was talking about, I only have one 640GB hard drive in the machine that this is occurring.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks alot!
